What cookies and browser storage are
Cookies are small files placed on a device by a website or service provider. Local storage is a similar browser feature that can remember information on the device. Both can store preferences or identifiers, but they do not give a website access to unrelated files on your computer or phone.
Storage used by PhotoMeasureKit tools
PhotoMeasureKit currently uses local browser storage to remember the light or dark colour theme. Individual tools may also save project settings or data locally so work can continue on the same device. This local information can be cleared through tool controls, where available, or through browser settings.
Project photographs are not uploaded to PhotoMeasureKit servers merely because they are selected in a tool.
Advertising
The free website may use Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, local storage, IP addresses, device information and advertising interactions to deliver, limit, measure or personalise adverts, depending on the visitor’s region and consent choices.
Google explains its advertising cookies and controls in its own privacy and advertising information. PhotoMeasureKit does not place advertising inside editors, photographs or downloaded reports.
Consent in the EEA, UK and Switzerland
Where legally required, PhotoMeasureKit will use a Google-certified consent management platform before non-essential advertising or analytics storage is accessed. Visitors should be able to accept, reject or manage relevant purposes. Refusing non-essential cookies should not prevent access to the free tools.
Analytics
If audience analytics are enabled, this page and the consent controls will identify the service and its purpose. Non-essential analytics should not operate before consent where consent is legally required.
Managing your choices
You can use the website’s consent controls when shown, adjust browser settings to block or delete cookies, and clear PhotoMeasureKit site data to remove local preferences and saved tool data. Blocking all storage may prevent preferences or unfinished local work from being remembered.
