Who this policy covers
This policy applies to PhotoMeasureKit.com and its free browser-based measurement, planning and reporting tools. PhotoMeasureKit.com is the website responsible for the information described here. Privacy questions can be sent to support@photomeasurekit.com.
Your photographs and project files
Photographs selected in a PhotoMeasureKit tool are processed by code running in your browser. They are not uploaded to or stored on PhotoMeasureKit servers. Marked images, plans and reports are generated locally and downloaded directly to your device.
Some tools may store project settings or data in browser storage so work can continue on the same device. You can remove this information using the tool’s controls, where provided, or by clearing site data in your browser.
Information that may be handled
- Browser preferences: the selected light or dark theme and other local tool preferences.
- Technical request data: an IP address, browser details, requested page, date and time may be processed by hosting, security or content-delivery services to deliver and protect the website.
- Support correspondence: your email address and anything you include when contacting support.
- Advertising and consent data: if advertising is enabled, Google and consent providers may process identifiers, consent choices, device information and advertising interactions as explained in the Cookie and Advertising Policy.
Why information is used
Information is used to deliver the website and requested tools, remember user-selected settings, maintain security, diagnose faults, answer support messages and, where consent is required and obtained, measure or fund the service through advertising.
Depending on the situation, processing may be necessary to provide a requested service, based on legitimate interests in operating and protecting the website, required by law, or based on consent. Consent can be withdrawn through the consent controls when those controls apply.
Cookies and browser storage
PhotoMeasureKit uses local browser storage to remember the colour theme and may use it for tool data. Advertising or analytics technologies are not treated as essential. Where the law requires consent, they should only operate after a visitor has made a consent choice. See the Cookie and Advertising Policy.
How long information is kept
Browser-stored project data remains on your device until it is removed or browser data is cleared. Support correspondence is retained only for as long as reasonably needed to answer the request, maintain necessary records or meet legal obligations. Technical logs are retained by relevant infrastructure providers for limited operational and security periods.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability of your personal information, and to withdraw consent. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.
Because PhotoMeasureKit does not receive project photographs, we cannot retrieve or delete an image held only in your browser or on your device.
Children’s privacy
PhotoMeasureKit is a general DIY utility and is not directed at children under 16. Do not send personal information about a child through the support email.
Changes to this policy
This page will be updated when data practices or service providers materially change. The revision date at the top shows when the current wording took effect.
Privacy contact
Email support@photomeasurekit.com with a clear description of your request. Do not attach private project photographs unless support specifically needs and requests one.
