HOW TO USE IT

Check the entire journey, not just the front door

  1. Measure the item at its widest points. Include arms, handles, feet and packaging unless they will definitely be removed.
  2. Measure clear openings. Use the actual gap with doors open, not the frame’s outside size.
  3. Add turns and enclosed spaces. Lifts, corridors and landings need a usable third dimension.
  4. Check the final position. Leave room for ventilation, plugs, doors and normal use.
COMMON QUESTIONS

Furniture fit checker FAQs

Does it test rotating furniture through a doorway?

Yes. For simple doorways it tests the three item faces and samples rotation angles from 0° to 90°. Standing the item on end can be disabled.

Why add turning depth?

A sofa may pass through a doorway but still fail inside a small hall or lift because there is not enough depth to rotate or change direction.

Should I measure the packaging?

Yes if delivery packaging must remain fitted through the route. Otherwise confirm with the supplier exactly when it can be removed.

Is a pass guaranteed?

No. It is a dimensional screening result. Irregular shapes, banisters, slopes, grip positions and real lifting movement require an on-site check.
